We have developed extensive procedures for modeling and evaluating customer
profitability and retention. This includes developing an integrated software program for
analyzing customer profitability. This profitability model combines analysis of hourly
customer energy loads with detailed supply-side cost data to compute costs and revenues
for customers considered either individually or in groups.
We have also collected and analyzed
data on factors that influence customer's decisions
to stay with or move from their existing utility; this
included a comprehensive analysis of the New Hampshire
Retail Access Pilot Study.
