ADM Associates, Inc. is currently looking for qualified individuals to fill the following positions:


Engineering Management

ADM Associates, Inc. currently has several openings available for individuals with expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Conducting energy audits of large commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.  Responsibilities include:
    • Conducting on-site audits
    • Participating in metering and measurement of energy use, and other related elements
    • Performance of energy analysis using engineering algorithms, and computer simulations such as DOE-2
    • Preparation of reports, and presentation of the results.
  • Project management of energy efficiency retrofit projects:
    • At least three years of project or task management experience
    • Project marketing (no sales), utility customer contacts, manufacturers, distributor liaisons, and client contacts
    • Preparation of reports, and contribution to proposal preparation.
  • HVAC / Refrigeration Specialist
    • Ten years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration technologies in large facilities.  Individuals with extensive hands-on experience will be well suited for this position.
    • Identify energy efficiency improvements applicable for existing equipment
    • Possess familiarity with state-of-the-art technologies in HVAC and refrigeration systems.

All positions require excellent oral and written communication skills.  Advanced degrees in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or an M.B.A. are desirable.  However, relevant experience has a higher priority.  These positions are available in ADM’s Sacramento, CA headquarters.


Field Manager

Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordination and supervisiojn of two-technician teams, which provide energy conservation services to small businesses.
  • In-field recruitment of SDG&E customers, for participation in a free-of-charge program to receive energy conservation services.
  • Conduct walk-through energy audits of small businesses.  Training will be provided.
  • Presenting results of energy audits to business owners.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Personnel supervision skills.
  • Ability to conduct face-to-face program marketing (no sales.)
  • Computer skills (MS Word / Excel, email, web, etc.)
  • Hard worker, responsible, consistent, and able to follow guidelines and report to management.

Mechanical Engineer


ADM Associates, Inc., a national energy research and development firm, currently has an opening available for a mechanical engineer.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting on-site energy assessments of commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Creating building simulation models based on DOE-2 simulation software.
  • Evaluating the performance and cost-effectiveness of new energy efficiency technologies, for use in commercial and industrial facilities
  • Use of spreadsheet methods for various types of engineering analyses.
  • Writing reports related to energy efficiency technologies, or the results of energy assessments.
  • Presenting findings or new product designs to clients, using presentation tools such as Microsoft Powerpoint.
Requirements:
  • Successful candidate must have at least a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, plus knowledge of energy auditing of industrial and commercial facilities. 
  • The ideal candidate will also posess a strong background in HVAC / lighting technologies, and knowledge of energy efficiency software such as DOE-2.
  • This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in writing technical reports is a plus.

This position is available in ADM's Sacramento, CA headquarters.  No relocation expenses will be provided in connection with this position.

Entry Level Engineer


ADM Associates, Inc., a national energy research and development firm, currently has an opening available for an entry-level engineer.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Undergo extensive training to conduct industrial energy audits and field data collection.
  • Assist Mechanical Engineers or Project Managers in technical assessments of commerical and industrial facilities.
  • Prepare, process, and analyze data for commercial project evaluations.
  • Assess energy consumption of small commercial buildings.
Requirements:
  • Successful candidate must have at least a Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or math.
  • No prior experience is necessary; however, applicants must posess a strong desire to learn on the job.
  • Travel flexibility is a plus.

Energy Auditor 

Description: ADM Associates, Inc. is looking for an experienced Energy Auditor to conduct energy audits and energy surveys of commercial / industrial / residential / institutional facilities. This is an ideal position for those who live approx. 20 miles east of the city of Los Angeles, or in San Diego.
Educational Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
Experience Requirements: Individual must have experience in conducting energy audits / energy surveys of commercial facilities. Must be familiar with HVAC and control systems, lighting technologies, and energy conservation strategies. The individual has to be very detail-oriented, and have excellent oral communication skills.

No relocation expenses will be provided for this position.
